Principal's Message
Greetings to All Hutchinson Hawks, Families, and Community Members,
My name is Nathan Arredondo, I am honored to serve as the next principal of Hutchinson Middle School. This year, I will begin my 24th year in education. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of serving as a Social Studies teacher, Dean of Student Services, Coach, Athletic Director, Assistant Principal, and now Principal. I have proudly served the NLMUSD community at Los Coyotes Middle School, briefly El Camino High School, Norwalk High School, and now Hutchinson Middle School.
I do not take this tremendous responsibility lightly. I know that Hutchinson and the entire NLMUSD community are special places for students, families, and staff. My goal is to continue providing every student with a high-quality education and an exceptional educational experience.
We want our students to develop the knowledge, skills, and character needed to become compassionate and confident leaders, as well as lifelong learners who make a positive impact in our ever-changing world. This commitment reflects the overall mission of NLMUSD.
Our highest priority is to ensure that every student who attends Hutchinson feels safe, welcomed, supported, and valued. We are committed to maintaining an inclusive learning and working environment for our students, staff, families, and community.
Hutchinson Middle School is a community where academic standards and expectations are high, and students receive the support and encouragement needed to meet and exceed those expectations. Our strong and dedicated staff works diligently to provide a welcoming environment in which students are supported socially, emotionally, and academically.
I invite and encourage all parents/guardians to become actively involved at Hutchinson Middle School. Opportunities include joining parent organizations such as the Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA), @hutchfriends on Instagram, School Site Council (SSC), and the English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC), as well as attending school events throughout the year.
